Default Dyno Day results

A local Nissan/Infinity club had a Dyno day today at Element Racing in Ogden. First time I have had the 370 on the Dyno and was looking for a baseline before the exhaust comes and I get a tune.

Dyno = Dynomite

HP= 289.5
TQ= 227.7

Also remember this is at 4800 ft alt.

HP was a little higher than I thought it would be with the altitude so happy with that. TQ was lower than I thought it would be.

I know nothing about Dyno's and haven't heard much talk on the forum about the DynoMite brand. I hope the FI exhaust and a tune will result in a 310-320 range down the road.

There's probably a fairly generous correction built in to account for the altitude, but otherwise that sounds about right -- within range of typical dynojet numbers

However I think dynos are set up to adjust for weather/air/alt. etc.etc. Also different dynos give different results. That's some of the reasons why I'm not into it. I use it, for the same reason you are using it. Test before tune/mods then after. Looks like good numbers. Good luck with your mods & tune.
Test pipes with stock exhaust will give you more H.P. than stock cats & after market exhausts.

Yes but at higher rpm. That's where 4:08 gears come in. It's not a bunch of mods, it's mods that work together that should be the goal.

Test pipes, Alum. fly wheel, 4:8 gears, an up rev tune, good traction + very good driving will get your car under 12.5 in the 1/4 mile.

Anything missing will raise the times. If you're only a fair driver, high 12's is still not bad.
