I must be missing something, lol.
Let me make sure I have you current setup right. You have a relocation plate on the engine (where the oil filter used to go) with two lines. One line is connected to the remote filter plate and the other line goes to the outlet of the cooler. At the remote plate, there's the line from the reloc and the other line goes to the cooler inlet.
Oil comes out of engine, into reloc plate, then on to the filter. From there the oil goes through the cooler and back to the reloc late. Did I get that right?

What I would suggest is stacking the thermoplate and reloc plate at the engine. Run the cooler lines to the thermoplate. Run the lines coming out of the reloc plate to the remote plate (just as if there was no cooler).
Or you could stack the thermo to the remote plate. Either way, you'll have to repipe the cooler.
