This car was not tuned/ dyno at Z1. The only connection with Z1 is the guy who tuned it left Z1 a few months back and now works at TSM. This was done at Topspeed Motosports in Alpharetta, Ga.

I'll post the dyno chart in a sec.

Ah. That wasn't clear. Still, I'm very skeptical that a NA car picked up that much power from E85.

Yeah. It wasn't very clear. To be further clear, I do not have a dog in this race. Haha.

If it's legit and not just a juiced dyno, tons of guys here are going to go E85 if it performs like that.

Not on Z1's dyno. Theirs is very optimistic. Helps to sell parts to have one that reads on the high side. ;)

Heh. Well, it would be interesting to see both the actual correction value applied as well as the weather/air pressure readings they were based on.

Anytime I see a correction factor value greater than 1.03 I know to take the numbers with a pinch of salt. Two pinches if 1.05 or higher.

EDIT: Yeah, I'm guessing some pretty high over correction might be at play there...

Mods:

Z1 headers
Tomei TP
Tomei Exhaust
TSM modified AFe Intakes
TSM "Secret Sauce"
Fuel System Upgrade(E85)
TSM tuned

What's a stock Z baseline there?

FPenvy 04-28-2014 11:52 AM

i still say its fake numbers.

that set-up is similar to mine plus headers with e85

and you're saying it somehow has 33WHP more?

sign me up for e85 then lol

The headers would be a nice bump from where you are. The E85 is the part in question. 20-25whp from E85 isn't unheard of, but I'm still leaning towards it being a 340whp car on a generous dyno.

I'm not sure about a stock baseline. From the video, it's hard to make out, but at the top right of the tv monitor it says "CF: STD Smoothing: 5"

Idk if that's the correction factor you were talking about but that's the best I got lol. I would share it, but it's in a private fb group so it's rather hard to do.

Also don't forget, this is the guy that helped come up with Z1 secret intake mod, so there is no telling what the modified intakes help in this situation...

Again, I have no dog in this race lol

If you know the guy, lean on him to dyno it somewhere else and see if the gains are legit. If not, oh well. If E85 really does that for a NA Z, more people will be doing it and we'll see how that works out.

The super secret ported stock intake manifold Z1 is selling? They claim some pretty good numbers from that alone.

The nismo will be at ZDayZ for sure. They are having a dyno day before ZDayZ at Z1 so I'm sure she(the owner) will dyno it there.

Yes the Z1 manifold they are selling.
