Will 7AT lose cruise control with 3.9 gears?

I have read in another thread that the 7AT will loose cruise control with 4.08 gears. Will the 7AT cruise still work with 3.9 gears. Will UpRev correct the tach

I have a g37 and I had cruise control with my 4.08... Occasionally it wouldn't work but it was like 70% - 80 % operational 20% - 30% not.

Why does the cruise not work after changing the gears? Doesn't the car just use the VSS signal for cruise? Just curious.

It is bothersome to me that the cruise works intermitantly on some, not at all on others. I hate to lose cruise control, but the 3.9:1 gears will really wake up the Z.

For now I will finish up my exhaust and get UpRev installed. I will build a 3.9 LSD differential and wait for some more definetive answers later on.

Good question. I have a 6MT differential to put a quaiff LSD in and install in my 7AT. I don't want to go any further on this project without knowing if I will loose any systems that run off wheel speed sensors and I want to be able to recalibrate the speedometer too.

If anyone has made this mod, please chime in.

I'd also like to know, as I've also been thinking about this option, putting the 6MT (3.6FD) on my 7AT(3.3FD). Is it a straight swap?

I'm wanting to change out the complete 7AT differential with the 6MT differential. So only going from the 3.3:1 gears to the 3.6:1 ratio. If I can go with a 3.9:1, that would be great. I'll need to strip the 6MT down anyways to put the Quaiff LSD in it.
