I used the ester oil for the first couple of oil changes, then switched to synthetics. Took it to the dealer a couple of weeks ago - they said to put about 300 miles on it, then let them check. After 300 miles, they said they couldn't tell, so I have to put more mileage on it (not sure how much) then check again. Not sure if I want an engine rebuild - all of the collateral damage that may instigate... --ZOM
