But by that time you'll have full bolt ons a tune, and no vvel, there won't be anything left except weight reduction. VVEL won't make your car like 'scare the sh!t out of you' fast
Nothing short of FI will do that, but some extra peak power would be more than welcome. I think that some adjustment to VVEL will also open up a good bit under the curve, which is where the Z could use some extra juice. I think a little more freedom with tuning could drop lap times in the Z by a noticeable amount.

I think mid-range would benefit the most. An extra 10-15 whp at mid-range would go a long way for improving the driveability of the N/A cars.

But you're right... the 3.7 is very limited unless you go FI. In the end it's the cheapest and most effective way to get meaningful power out of the car.

I think the engine is pretty limited even with FI, but that's a discussion for another day.

Another 20 or so horses through the midrange would be fantastic for the trackability of the Z, especially if the powerband was smooth-- which it should be if they get all the tuning figured out.

I definitely agree, but it is what it is. At least FI will put you in the 450whp range which is kind of the "sweet spot" for a street-driven 3100-3300lb car.

Yeah, for sure. Especially if you're looking to run tighter road courses, the Z doesn't even really need much more than 300whp. I think I'd be happy with a legit 300whp with a smooth powerband.

im really looking forward to seeing Dixon Cider's car whenever he gets it back from GTM. a roadster with that kind of power should be pretty awesome.

i want to feel the difference in the car with a few mods but yeah if you could get some power to come in between 2500-4500 rpm, the car would feel a lot quicker
