Default Interior Panels Cracking

I'm hoping to have everyone inspect the rear hatch side panels. Today was the first time I have really detailed the inside of the Z. I only have 2400 miles and it's typically in the garage with the windows up. I've noticed cracking on the driver's side and what appears to be a mold line on the passenger side. I would appreciate any feedback on this everyone has.

Update: The dealer replace the panel today. It's nice when things go well at the dealer!!

Well that is not good.

Do they separate or get wider if you push around them?

Still under warranty though so take it to the dealer...

One pic just looks like a scratch, but the other looks to be a crack. The plastic's do scratch easy but i'd bring it to the dealer about the crack. I don't know that they will do anything but you won't know til you try.

I have a crack also in the rear. I believe it was from when I brought my stock exhaust home though.

The drivers side is cracked but not the other side. The crack does get wider when I push on the panel. The other sides deos look like a scratch but I haven't been in there to do it. It could have happened before though. No upgrades or anything has been done requiring the panels to be removed. It is all stock. Time for a trip to the dealer.

Thanks

dang... yah, keep us posted how it goes. while the liner's out, it'd be a good time to install the fog lamp, rear view camera, etc.

The dealer was very cool about my problem. The service manager had to look at the crack and agreed to replace the panel. The passenger side will have to wait because it's more of a scratch. If it does crack though, they agreed to replace it. You have to love when the dealer does us right!!

It wasn't caused by the tint installer sitting in the back during the install?

No, I'm still waiting to have the windows tinted. I know it would look sweet with the Black Cherry.

Take it to the dealer, see if warranty will cover this?

edit : Never mind, but you should have posted the dealer replacement in this post not after the fact.
