Although the technology in the ZR1 (aluminum frame, racing engine technology) is much better today compared to the old days where they pretty much just stuffed more displacement under the hood (and yeah, I know they also sometimes put in aluminum heads too, but basically the diff between a "base" vette and the hotter models was a larger engine).

NOW....if they would only do the big block with all of the modern technology........sweet.......that would be what a lot of guys here are looking for.........but the L88 and L89 engines were something else.......!!! and with the stock side pipes and two dual feed Holley's like I had on my 67(stock) ....you would not believe how good it sounded......they came with stock cast iron headers........only problem ....every time I drove from Tennessee to Miami, I couldnt hear for two days....!! big problem when you are in training camp and can not hear the plays being called....lol BTW...the window of that 1967 427 with everything you could get on it was $6,900.00
you could not get Air Conditioning.....not offered because of overheating
