The previous owner replaced it. When I bought car it came with receipts from Nissan dealership. It busted on them at about 40,000 miles ( I'll have to check receipt for actual mileage)

Then it broke on me just a little past 60,000 miles. Crazy too how it happened; I just started car, let it warmup & high idle drop, put in gear went about 40-50 feet at 5-10mph in complex garage. Then pedal just dropped.

I understand this might not make too much mechanical sense, but I was just curious to know how many of you had the csc failure with the RJM clutch pedal?

thats a good question, im not really sure, but I would say this, An aftermarket pedal and the actual csc are two entirely different components, that pedal wont save that poorly made csc.

Honestly I was totally unaware of any CSC issues with 370z. In fact, when I was looking at the car (prior to purchase) the previous owner nonchalantly mentioned replacing CSC do to it having "a leak" . Me being naive, thought nothing of it. I thought "a leak? that's no big deal"... How wrong I was!

Why didn't the previous owner put an aftermarket one in? I'm sure he was likely NOT a car guy.

LOL yeah. I wonder what the mechanics, engineers and board of directors at Nissan think about: "Oh we put a very important transmission plastic part inside the 370z that was recalled in the 350z?" That's not good....

This thread has a lot of info on the RJM pedal: RJM Clutch Pedal System for 370Z - Fully Customizable Clutch Feel & Stroke

The RJM pedal does put less strain on the CSC than the OEM pedal. Ryan explains it in more detail in Post #176 here: RJM Clutch Pedal System for 370Z - Fully Customizable Clutch Feel & Stroke

My clutch just went out for the fourth time. The first three times they replaced the slave, the master, and the clutchline in that order. Now they said its the clutch itself and are replacing the cluthplate, pressure plate, and the flywheel.

Tell them to replace the CSC with a Zspeed one and a new OEM CMC. Problem solved.

Mahalo JAR! I hope Ryan's correct as I've had his clutch pedal in my car for nearly the life of my car. However anyone who has had an RJM clutch pedal and csc went bad, please feel free to chime in.
