Guys, the "cooler" is also fitted to OZ-spec Z34, and I can tell you it does not provide any coooling. I track my Z34 regualrly and after 2-3 laps on the first track day, it would drop into oil-temp limp-home. I fitted a Stillen oil cooler, now I don't have these problems.
If you are concerned at oil-temps, fit a proper cooler as the PoS pretend cooler discovered at the top of this thread will provide marginal benefit at best ................. On the subject of finned diff covers, I have the NISMO finned cover and my viscous coupling LSD has now gone out to lunch and is not coming back (Quaife ATB differential now on order). My vehcile has covered just over 30,000 klics and 7 track days now ..... at the end of the day, Mr Nissan has engineered a damn fine daily driver, but it ain't a track day weapon by any stretch. Mind you, nit many cars actually are until they;ve had a few grand tipped into them. RB Last edited by BGTV8; 09-15-2010 at 05:53 AM. |
