very nice!

my question is though if it's capable as is to handle 1000whp why did you need the FI flex plate? does the tranny build not include a new one?

i'm just curious in the case that I need a tranny or go boost obviously I would need a built tranny. already called level10 months ago talking numbers and whatnot before anyone got one done yet I never asked about the flex plate lol

In fact ... that is one of the main reasons to rip on someone who can't drive a stick

True. I think this largely relates to age also. Anyone born past the 80's probably knows nothing of a manual tranny.

I think that 93% stat is confusing current MT drivers vs non-drivers who still know. Most people over 35-40yo these days have driven an MT at least once in their life but most people just dont drive MT these days.

Driving an MT is quite the novelty nowadays.

Level 10 doesn't make a Flex plate and they are known to brake them because they shift so hard. F.I. just got the first batch of these last week. I didn't want to have to slow the shifts down to protect the flex plate and this thing should be able to take all I can give it.

I bet a lot more people than you think know how to drive a stick and just chose not to. There are 12 people at my office and one person that is 22 said he hasn't. Of that same group one guy owns a stick but it's not his DD, it's a mud Jeep.

That FI flex plate is such sex

I can't use one on my car, but I'd mount one on the wall in my garage

Fair enough. The 93% number is definitely inflated. As mentioned in an earlier post, it's probably just the percentage of ATs that are bought these days.

I still know dozens of people that have no clue how to drive a stick. And judging by how the other drivers on the road handle their ATs, I can't imagine most of them don't have any clue how to drive a stick either

Porsche and customers alike love the PDK becuase... why not drive a fast car faster? That's great for the track and all but on the street? Meh. Sometimes a manual can be a small pain in my ***. Kinda like when you wake up thinking Presto put his finger in your *** but soon discover it isn't his finger and he's resting his chin on your shoulder giving it his all and you're like... dude. it is 3am. Go play halo or something.

Exactly. Like I said, traffic being an excuse for not driving manual is a really poor excuse.

I would rather drive an auto in traffic and I also want the faster shifting at the track. Thats not an excuse, there's is just no advantage to driving a stick to me these days. I've had a 240Z that was a stick and a Talon TSI but autos were not worth anything back then, its called progress.

It's called preference. I prefer driving stick because to me, and most others, it's the fun factor that counts. Driving auto is more practical, you have that. But most people use traffic as an excuse but hey, to each their own.
