The shifter is directly mounted to the transmission, so what you're feeling is inside the transmission itself. Its totally normal. If you come from MT cars that use cable linkages

The shifter is directly mounted to the transmission, so what you're feeling is inside the transmission itself. Its totally normal. If you come from MT cars that use cable linkages or very rubbery shifters you probably aren't used to the feel of a direct input shifter.
