Any year could could have issues with the lobe clearance. It just depends on how that particular head was casted. If it was off a little bit then it may have a little extra casting material that needs to be ground off. It can be done with the head(s) on. You obviously just need to make sure you get all the shavings removed. They have a tutorial on their C9 cams that shows the process.
