If I can get just a TCM and throw it in for $300 from a 14/15 7AT the I'll do that. I'll have my brother look into it while gone. As for the sequential that's like an end of build dream when the car is fully built, but if forced I would do it now, but not for that price. I have a 2011 TT Nismo lined up for purchase when I'm back which Is why I'm not too concerned with how I resolve this issue. Thanks for the feedback
Having the same issues, got the same P0720 code and all.

In July 2019, my flex plate cracked into pieces. A friend and I dropped trans, new fluids and re installed. It ran ok for about 2 weeks and then started shifting funny and getting stuck in 3rd gear. Sometimes wouldn't shift into gear at all. And would just rev as in neutral. A Nissan tech friend of mine mentioned getting a new or reman/used TCM/Valvebody (as they come together) ... So we replaced them both , reinstalled and didn't work (didn't know I'd need reprogrammed) so we put my old TCM on the new valvebody assembly, reinstalled, fresh fluids again... Ran perfect and strong for 3-4 months. Now car will drive, yes drive in neutral. In drive, Reverse it doesn't move at all. Park works as it should and locks it in. So my Nissan friend said in his 8 years of being a tech he's seen the 6M come in all the time for CSC and clutch failures but NEVER a 7A... So I ordered a used trans (36k miles on it) and swapping it in next weekend and reprogramming it. I guess it could of been my TCM since I used my original one on new Valvebody. But not sure it would explain the working perfectly fine for 3-4 months unless the TCM is slowly ruining every valvebody I've put in. Either way, new to me used trans with half the miles of my car going in next weekend, reprogrammed, fresh fluids, fingers crossed. Hopefully you resolved your issues and sorry for thread jacking LOL!
