As of right now, i'm still trying to find a source for m10 1.25 cap screws with a low profile head to use with the adapters. It seems like theres some websites who have them but they are mostly manufacturers so not sure how to order them yet.

Slow? Over in the AV subforum I am working on a sub box project... in the time I have spent making a tool to cut up foam, you're 30% of the way to inventing a new TT kit. I'd say you're doing OK. =)

I assume you have, but did you check with fastenal or Grainger?

I've also found some odd metric fasteners at BelMetric:

Thanks for the help! I found something very similar there but unfortunately after calling them, they did not have what i wanted :/

After searching for what felt like days, i finally found a small shop that makes the size i want.

Going to call them tomorrow morning and order them ASAP so i can be done with this.. It's so stressful seeing sports cars everyday while i drive a honda with 130 HP

Finally got all the bolts needed to finish mounting the adapters. Finished passenger side pretty much along with oil and coolant lines. Driver side remaining.

Hoping to finish everything tonight so I will only have the downpipes left to mount!

Be careful with those SS braided lines... as things move and vibrate those can turn into a saw or file if they rest or touch other things... It kind of looks like they might be resting against the manifold wrap and I'd imagine it wouldn't be too long before they start tearing it up. I would also worry that resting on the manifold right there you might be at risk for boiling coolant in that spot, though I am not sure about that... Just some thoughts. Other than that, this is starting to look spookily OEM. =)

Thank you for the help! I actually figured that would be a problem since my oil cooler lines were almost tearing from the vibrations.

I ordered a rubbery fire wrap and will may even add another layer on top of it just incase.

I'm almost ready to put the engine back in, but still not sure where to hook the chains on the front side of the engine. I was thinking maybe the lower intake manifold bolts that hold the injectors?

This is how I solved the clearance issue to the Inlet. I had the bolt just put in reverse and then tightened it from inside to he bracket.

I'm really impressed by your progress. I honestly didn't expect anything to come from this thread. Then you pulled the engine, now your almost the finish line.

Another small update! Used a 90 degree fitting instead for the coolant line and it made it fit a lot better.

I also got all the downpipe studs that were stuck out and put new ones in. Hoping these ones I got from a local parts store hold up to the heat..

Also, changed up the breather hoses a little but to clean it up. Passenger side is pretty much set and now it's time for the driver side

Thanks everyone! I can't wait to drive my car again! I'm hoping to have the engine installed this week if all the parts come in then I can finally install all the parts back in the car.

Just did some heat protection today for the wires near the turbos. Any ideas for more wires to wrap?

I think it looks pretty good... When I did mine I wasn't sure if the zip ties would last so I tied my heat wrap up with stainless steel wire instead. Not sure if the concern was valid or not. You may as well also wrap that other part of the harness that goes up the back there as well. This is one area where you really can't overdo it.

Keep an eye on the black plastic harness cover on the passenger side.. IIRC the harness isn't even wrapped under there (but my memory of it is fuzzy)... I had to remove mine regardless because it interfered with the manifold, but if it sits anywhere looking at a cherry red turbine it may not survive.

They do make high-temp zip ties, and aluminium zip ties that work great near stuff like that. The Al ones are a bit expensive though.

You can get the metal zip-ties at Harbor Freight for like, $5 for a pack of 20 or so.

Edit: I remembered wrong, it's $6.99 for a pack of 25:
