Out of all the folks on here who will be purchasing these gears, who here will be revving past 8 grand ( either it be drag racing, 1/2 mile racing, or road racing) and for the folks that do will you still retain the oem valve-train or upgrading to handle to higher RPM's?

UPDATE:

So we had the opportunity to put the first car on the dyno with our Oil Pump Gears. As many of you are aware a fellow member had a mishap with a certain dealer earlier this year that caught his car on fire. Well he sent us his car to fix the electrical issues and to do some minor upgrades.

This is a stock motor car in every way shape and form. The car is running an older GEN1 6266 single turbo kit with ID1000 and walbro 255 and a single 3" exhaust. We decided to upgrade his Oil pump gears and upgrade to the RJM GTR intake manifold conversion. The outcome was AWESOME!

Given this car is a 91oct tuned car our power limits, timing advance and rpms had to be limited. However, we were successful at running back to back 8100rpm runs gaining nearly 40 whp and similar torque over the previous setup. The car made power up until 8100rpms and we stopped there due to the limitations of the 91 oct.

Our final numbers were done on a "heartbreaker" dyno that is notorious for reading low. We started tuning earlier in the morning focusing on his driveability tune and by the time we got to power runs it was mid day and the temps in the dyno booth reached 110*F and coupled with the high humidity in florida we had our work cut out for us! Given more favorable conditions I believe we could see more power. The numbers were as follows:

8100RPM Limit
542whp
401ft/lbs
9psi waste gate pressure
91 oct

If you visit our facebook page you can get a behind the scenes video of the last dyno run. We will be publishing a full feature video of the car soon but this is great news for even the 91 octane customers.
