I have not wired one to ECUTEK yet, so I dont know!!! I just needed to come up with an inexpensive solution to handle the plumbing side of it for my customers. I will figure out how to wire it sometime soon when I go to put this in my car.

I've been looking at Innovate Motorsports gauges to provide the input to the ECU because they output a configurable 0-5v signal for ECU use. IIRC, FWIH, when it comes to MT Zs, there is an unused port on the ECU normally used by the AT that can be used to input the flex signal to the ECUTECH software.

Pics don't show for me.. but that is interesting. Does it have to go through the gauge to get the proper signaling for interfacing with the spare ECU input? (Which is awesome... btw. Good info) I'd imagine we could get it properly setup to skip the gauge (I'm not big on gauges...so a flex fuel gauge would be pretty low down the list for me)

Seb had me tie my zeitronix ECA-2 into a wire that original was something on the evap system headed into the ECU. Pictures for reference.

On a side note Phunk, how much discount do I get for not getting this badass fitting setup with my original kit Wasnt I one of the first people to ask for help with installing this sensor in line... lol

Also for anyone using ecutek and your tuner can use the info below, your welcome to it.

You will take pin 102 which is solid grey in color and cut it with room to spare on the ECU destined connector side for soldering. In my case the ethanol content sensor zeitronix ECA-2 used a white/light blue stripe wire for the 0 - 5v reference and this is what is soldered into the grey pin 102 to the ECU. I also had to connect ignition 12v and black chassis ground to power the ECA-2 unit with key on.

Your tuner can then go into your custom rom and use that original input that was for evap pressure as a reference for ethanol content for flex fuel from the sensor at the return above the tank.

The output signal come from the gauge. Innovate has that feature on most of their gauges to use for data logging or to input into the ECU. That opens up some possibilities like with their Dual AFR gauge and bypassing the oem sensors and using the gauge's output for the AFR input into the ECU. Well at least in theory.

BTW here's a link to the flex fuel guages:

I was looking at the FSM earlier and couldn't find the ECU input I heard of. I'm guessing the person I heard it from had a non-SRM MT and hijacked the SRM input.

I dont think this input to the ecu would work because it only reads 1.8v to 4.9v. If u are running straight pump with no ethanol or even 10% e. the input to the ecu would be 0v. (thats for innovative Motorsports sensor at least). But maybe im wrong.

I was just going by what my tuner told me to wire in which was that line. Seb@specilityz is one of the best so I would assume he either accounted for that or something else is at play. according to my sensor, the following is all I should be seeing only my logs

Zeitronix ECA : SEMA Award Winning Ethanol Content Analyzer and Flex Fuel Sensor for E-85 and E-85/gasoline Blends

my sensor reads 0v - 5v

1.8v to 4.8v on that wire would come out to a min and max of E36 to E96 yet I just pulled 93 pump logs and my E85 logs and see I am below the minimum on 93 pump gas. Id assume with ecutek your tuner can make that wire do whatever and read whatever he wants?

Content percentage 93
9.1922
9.2027
9.1931
9.1922

Content percentage E85
79.3883
79.3852
79.3837
79.3883

Hi, I want to run with e85 fuel.
Can you tell me where you bought this flexfuel kit ?

Do injectors and pumps need to be changed? I do not wish to gain power (for the moment)

Thanks

The first one you posted is a full kit, with the fuel supply hose modified and it includes the analyzer, harness, and sensor. The second you posted in just the analyzer, harness, and sensor, so you'll have to make the rest of it yourself.
