Is a transmission rebuild done any differently for a sports mode manual transmission?

Find a transmission guru. One in every state. I can't remember but there is one thread on here on someone rebuilding the trans with ford syncro's and loving it, but

Shot peen the gears and and getting better syncro's never hurt NismoNY likes this.
