I don't use magnets so I can't make any recommendations but there's at least one thread discussing filter (and pan plug) magnets. IIRC, there are several different magnets mentioned. If you can't find it/them using the site's search, try one of the web search engines and add "site:the370z.com" to your search string.

Thanks, I use a magnetic drain plug so I think thats fine, just wondering if the filter mag was any good.

I just don't see the need. A drain plug magnet can tell you if you already have a problem but doesn't do much preventive-wise. Most of what the magnet catches, the filter would have grabbed anyway. But it doesn't hurt - if it gives you some peace of mind, go for it.

I have both a filter magnet and a magnetic drain plug. From all the UOA I have done, iron does not seem to have dropped off any faster then normal. I think money would be better spent on a UOA or two.
