Long story short. Sucked up some water in my intakes about 3 weeks ago. I have a "hitch" at about 3500 rpms no matter what gear I'm in since then.

Long story short. Sucked up some water in my intakes about 3 weeks ago. I have a "hitch" at about 3500 rpms no matter what gear I'm in since then. I've cleaned the MAF sensors with MAF cleaner, looked for vacuum leaks in intakes and exhaust and retightened both. Changed all the plugs even went as far as buying a programmer to tune it and I can't work it out....
It's starts "bucking" rich/lean rich/lean until I accelerate or decelerate. It only happens when I hold the throttle in one position within 2500 to 3500 rpm, even on cruise control. It seems like I always have to keep the rpms over 4k for it to run smooth and AFR to be correct. I have no DTCs showing either. I don't know..and since I've tuned it now I'm afraid to take it to the dealership as I may have voided the warranty although this programmer will allow me to reset it to factory settings. It's killing me! I just want it fixed so I'm trying everything I can...if you have any suggestions I'd really like to hear them. Thanks for responding! |
