IAT location?

Where is the IAT sensor located in our cars? Does the sensor get heat soaked too and cause inacurate readings resulting in timing change?

Sent you a PM, but for the group, it's built into the MAF element..
It is always going to be subjected to some heat no matter what. About the best IAT's we've come up with are 5-8 degrees over ambient. That differential is engine compartment heat you can't avoid..
Pumping colder outside air into the intake is the best solution..

According to the FSM, it's on bank 1, the side nearest to the power steering reservoir to save confusion with RHD/LHD models.
The IAT function built into bank 2's MAF sensor is not used by the ECU at all

yep, if you're sitting inside it's the right hand side.

verified using a hairdryer aimed into the stock airbox & watched temps move on a scanguage
