Default Viper Security System/Tilt sensor/Proximity sensor

So I am planning on getting the viper 5204 security system( security w/ remote start). In addition I think I am going to get the proximity sensor and the tilt sensor - these 2 additions are mostly to stop people stealing my rims/tires. Do you guys think the proximity sensor and tilt sensor are overkill? Or should I only get one of them? Also does anyone know if the sensitivity on the proximity sensor is adjustable? I'm feeling like now I want to get the backup battery system too...I guess I am just paranoid Any advice from someone with a viper system would be great

You'll find full support for tilt/shock sensors on the forum... again I think the proximity sensor is not just overkill, it is a d-bag magnet... the tilt sensor alone will keep people away from your rims and possibly your car in general...

Remember, with the proximity sensor even if you are just parked in a lot, if someone gets out of the car next to you there is a chance they set your alarm off.

I just remember reading somewhere that someone had the tilt sensor but they were still able to jack their own car up just enough to get the tires off the ground without the sensor going off....Would the threads on security systems be in the audio section? I didn't see a car security section

Yeah audio section is usually where it goes... you should be able to adjust the tilt sensor and I'm sure the person that was doing it was doing so in an unrealistic setting where he took his time and gently jacked the car evenly.. in the real world a thief is going to move lightning quick to avoid getting caught.

Tilt = yes
Proximity = no, you're asking someone to eff with your ride.
