We've been testing switchback LEDs from iJDMTOY.COM (phone no.. 626-872-1127 ask for Rudy). These LEDs appear to work better than the ones we got from Kaizenmotor (they didn't last 3 weeks). The iJDMTOY LEDs have been in two cars almost 6 months and no failures yet.

Yeh they work picked them up 6 months ago..Rudy is a bone head.

So I ordered from a couple of places of amazon because the first pair I got was defective and so was the second. So I went with iJDM cool toy. So far great LED's with no issue.
I also would like to show you guys a picture of what this setup looks like at night with stock bulbs, which is the picture on the left (before pic) and then the different stages of my LED's from iJDM on the right.

Anyone know how much juice we can pull from the stock wiring for this setup?

The autolumination folks linked to in TheW3r3W0lf's thread have 80 watt (20 white, 60 amber, so max 60 I presume), 50 watt (10 white, 40 amber, so max 40 I again presume), and 22 watt (10 white, 12 amber, so 12 max I presume yet again).

Their 22 watters are amber-white flashing (which I don't want) rather than amber-off flashing, so the other options would be the 50 or the 80. The 80's are tempting for the 20-watt white DRL portion, but I'm not feeling too certain that I won't cook something...

A 60W filament will pull 5A. 40W, 3.5A. 20W, 2A. 10W, 1A. (Values given are rounded up. Watts/Volts = Amps. Volts = 12-15.)

I get that, my concern is with causing any issues with upstream components such as the IPDM and with (perhaps) melting the insulation off the cable itself.

When in doubt, go straight to the battery. Use a fuse at the battery. Use an interposing relay, if necessary.

Hi, I just started working on this project today and I can't seem to get the 5 pin relay socket to fit in the SHIFT LOCK RELAY's groove.

I got the one that was pointed out by your link but I guess thinks changed.

Hi, new to the forum. I have a set of morimoto halos in my headlights sitting there to be wired up as DRL. Don't want them to be on when the low beams are on. I tried splicing them to the DRL harness on the bumper but they won't power on.


The reason I spliced it is because I don't have the blue relay box in my base coupe. Any help I would appreciate!!

Default Best way to add DRLs?

I want to add DRL's to my 2010 Roadster. There a several threads running over the past several years that mention at least a couple different ways to do this. As of July '17, is there a best/simplest way to do this?
Is it as easy as replacing the parking light bulb with an LED and wiring it to either run all the time or use a relay to switch it in and out?
Do I need to use "switchback LEDs"?
Are there any good halo solutions?

Parking lights do not light in Auto mode in daylight.
