FYI when I do test fitting for LED, Halos and lenses I used Scotts clear shipping tape before gluing, figured if anybody wanted to know an easy way to hold something to make sure it looks right before gluing just use the clear shipping tape, that way you can pin point any adjustments you need to make. You guys probably already knew this but this is for those who don't.

Nice job man! I wish they had those white halos when I did mine. I wouldn't have used a diffuser.

Testing wires and lights after cooking, think I might cook again, I want these babies to be sealed tight.

so far so good, still waiting on switches, I am going to have a switch for top halos and a switch for bottoms, and a switch for top demon eyes and bottoms. I know its a bit much but I want to mix it up

Looks good man! just a thought, and I'm not sure it's just the camera phone pics but a little clear coat, some wet sanding and polishing would really make the red on the projector shrouds pop!

Thanks, thats what I did today, I resprayed....well because I finished and sealed the first headlight, and then sprayed the second housing. The second housing came out darker, which I liked! So I popped the firts HL back open and sprayed them both at the same time, lesson learned. Then I hit the shrouds with clear coat. Going to wet sand and polish tomorrow. I want it to be clean, the Z does not deserve half A@# work IMHO. Here are some pics

resprayed, I really like the super dark grey almost black just what I wanted wanted to be like a black chrome, or gunmetal but this works, think I might do my emblems next to match

Shrouds with clearcoat

Sorry to resurrect this thread but I'm looking to do this soon and I have a few questions.

What sealant/glue would be best suited if the lights need to be opened again after I close them? I've heard some sealants do not loosen up with heat the same way OEM does.

Which halos have proven most reliable if correctly installed? Which halos are easiest to install? ( saw issues with tabs and wire connections etc)

I'd like to avoid the lime green or yellow rings when the lights are off. Any suggestions on halos?

Thanks in advance.

No need for the clear lenses anymore unless you like the look.

Thanks for the reply!!
If I decided to go with the clear lenses where would I go for them? are the clear lens brighter or reduces the brightness(I perfer brighter). If I purchase the halos(pic below) including the color changing remote would it be a plug and play type deal or would I have to tinker with it? And I'm assuming the control module will have to be outside the lens right?
I'm asking a few questions since I don't want to mess this up.
I'll rep u up when I figure how to do so.
Thank you tons!

You're the man as usual! I got ahold of them and got new ones, they said that they burn out from the heat of the sun. Causes them to desolder and detatch from the board.

Zdayz 2015 woohoo!

Sad day,
I was doing a set of lights for a Civic thats being showed at SEMA and the heat gun that started a revelation back when this thread first started just died.

Wagner is dead !!!! He was a solid reliable heat gun all the way until his last breath..

R.I.P. Wagner I feel like i should bury it or something!

Definitely Wagner is in heaven with others alike, since it was doing Halos and halos are welcomed in any heaven.
