Hey, quick question. Before I begin hammering on the SLU, Can I install the harness and leave the brown wire connected or do I have to wait for the car

Before I begin hammering on the SLU, Can I install the harness and leave the brown wire connected or do I have to wait for the car to be in ACC before I disconnect the unit to install the bypass?
