I found the two clips on the inside of the door frame, but no matter how hard I pull on them the first clip won't come free. How do I get it loose?

You can unscrew one of the screws and swivel that plate and then take that black wire out that has your unlock button then take the actual button off the black wire and get it painted too. Is that what ur talking about?
