In BC everyday is a rain day so you would'nt have that issue out there, plus they are probably smart enough to not use salt.

No salt but the damn gravel they pour on the roads is stupid sometimes. Last night we has a thin layer of snow over night were it was gone by lunch but over night they dumped a ton of gravel on the roads. It's like an excuse to use up the extra before spring.
