Z1 Motorsports premium front brake lines 2013 370z

Just a heads up for anyone looking to buy. The 2013's are different. Don't buy the kit as of yet. They hopefully are working on it and ill have a new set soon but I just wanted to throw that out there in case you're planing to buy and then find out the hard way they don't fit like I did. Kind of a PITA but I know they'll take care of me.

As you can see you need large female ends on both sides of the kit where the kit now has one female end and one male end on a brass block.

Not really. I've noticed about 20 things different on a 2013 from older years. Seems like something always gets painted different, modified a little some way etc etc.

prob has something to do with the fact that the nismos in 2013 also got stainless brake lines like the GTR.

Are you sure the body hardline doesn't screw in to the brass block on the end of the line? Meaning:

Body Hardline -> Brass Block # 1 > SS line -> Brass Block # 2 -> caliper hardline ?

Just a question.

The more I look at this, the less I understand what the problem is here.

That brass block is intended to be bolted to the spindle and the spindle hardline gets screwed into it or the brass block goes on the chassis and the hardline there gets screwed into the block.

Either way there's a female connection at both ends, one just happens to be inside a brass block, which is intended to give you a strong, mountable way to screw the line in...

I'm really lost on how you can't use these lines, can someone explain??? Preferably with visual aids? lol

Also, are you 100% certain you got the correct version of the lines? You have base brakes judging by that hard line setup and referencing against my FSM. Did you pay extra for the base brake version of the line set? It IS different.

I just can't see how the anatomy of the system has changed at all! That's why I'm confused lol.

I don't have a base model, but when I look @ the config in the FSM for the base brakes, it looks exactly like what appears in his photo...

EDIT:

Oh you know what, I lied.

In the FSM, it looks like the spindle hard line terminates in an aluminum block on the pre-2013's and it instead butts into a normal connector on the 2013's.

I think the Z1 kit would still work, you might need to figure out a way to securely mount the block, that's all. Either way Z1 will have to make an adjustment to their kit if they want to maintain true 'bolt on' status.

Oh, and since you're going to send them back anyway, I'd suggest getting the non-'Premium' ones. Premium just means it maintains the stock config of having multiple lines between the chassis and the caliper, rather than one long one.

Of course with base brakes, you'll always have a second after the spindle hardline, but that's unavoidable.
