Yea, I don't think you messed up your caster if nothing is notably bent. I suspect your toe numbers to be the problem not your caster. Also if the top of the suspension moved backwards it would increase caster not decrease it to negative number. I would find a competent shop. A large caster change from side to side +5 to -X would cause a pretty significant pull in the steering wheel.
