You can drive with air in them, but the more air you have in the cups the less travel you have on you shock. With it fully aired up your just riding on springs. On the ruffer roads I do put a little air in the cups to take little travel out the shocks so I don't bottom out.

so i would just air up a lil bit on rougher roads not all the way so that there would still have a lil travel? correct?

also so the theory here is that i will basically adjust my coilovers to its lowest point and then these would pump my z up a lil... so how much lift do these give? like 4-5 inches?
