Making Nismo ducts

I would like a set as well. As long as it matches the NISMO grill or CF type, I'm down. Sent from my SGH-T889 using Tapatalk 2

Wink

For you guys about to do this. This is just a heads up. The picture is of the right side, duct not installed. As you can see, there is the washer bottle, and power steering hoses. You don't have much room to route your duct hose. 2.5" hose was hard. The RC ducts take a 4" hose. If you don't reduce the hose size. You will have to move the washer bottle. If you got an intercooler with some of your piping in that area. Good luck, you will have to route your hose a long way around that stuff. Oh, and the ducts take up about 5"~6" behind the bumper. If your air filter is in that area. It's another thing to think about.

One of the reasons I've been slow to go FI is the piping in that area on both sides of the car.

I'll just trim the back side around it,and if they don't fit,I'll scream then sell them on the forum.

I know i'm not really offering any solution but I did end up making myself the Nismo replica brake duct from the turnkey and thought i'd share.

Here's how it looked.

with black rivets painted the same body molding flat black as the grill

I got the NACA Ducts at Summit Racing. They had to be bent a little to fit flush with the bumper, but they are pretty pliable. The screws are not really needed at this point as they are also siliconed in. I think these are the ones, they are actually 29.95 each.

How can you beat that price! I love the way it turned out too! How come you didn't use black rivets?

Thanks man! Yours look damn good too. Yeah for the price it is a really great option considering the ridiculous price of the Nismo ducts. I am still considering put some black rivets or screws in, still haven't decided whether I like the shiny silver screws or not... Everyone I talk to seems to think I should keep it as is.

What size hose you using? And how did you route it around the washer bottle?

I vote for the stock stealth look of black hardware.
