The wheel speed sensor is a black cable with red stripe, it connects to the steering knuckle/spindle and magnetic pick up portion penetrates partially through a small hole. The hole is on the opposite side to the brake caliper. The cable runs up the spindle and back to a connector that is behind the plastic splash shield. I would think that the wheel speed sensors are working correctly though if your ABS light went out. Double check your brake fluid level, wheee! is correct that if the level is anything other than max it can trigger this condition, although I think the e-brake light comes on as well if I recall correctly.
