Metal Grinding Noise

I had this when a small pebble got stuck inbetween the brake pad and rotor, it would make that exact sound. A little hard braking took care of that.

I removed the tires and sure enough there was a pebble stuck behind the rotor. I haven't heard the noise since I removed it.
