Racing Brake was used heavily on tracked STi's. Great results from what other people said. I never used them my self so this is 2nd hand word of mouth. IWSTI.com: Subaru WRX STI Forums is the forum that had all the info on them.

Racing Brake is making some but they need to get 10 pre-orders before they make any. Someone posted a link to the thread on MYG37.com where they are looking for people to commit. I have talked with them on the phone and the rotors they will be making are awesome! I got to check them out first hand and I am sold on a set already!



They are slotted with drilled holes in the actual slots. Like this:








I just purchased my stoptech slotted and drilled rotors from Riverside-Infiniti, they have a bunch in stock when I last talked to them. Wish I would have waited for these.

Are they only going to make drilled or will they have the option of just slotted?

it says how much the front 2 piece slotted rotors weight, but not the rears. and whats the difference between open slots and regular slots?

it said per rotor.. I assumed that meant all of them, but are not the rear rotors smaller than the fronts? So, they should weigh less..

they are a rip-off, sure they may look cool & weigh less, but why would I pay $1,600 for just rotors?

beyond just the high price, from a machine and engineering standpoint the slot design is all fail. I would get them for either a show only car that would barely be driven, or a track only car you're willing to risk losing, because slotting should only be done with a ball end mill those are squared forming stress risers in the corners that are HEAVILY crack prone. then they mill pockets into these edges in order to make them more crack prone? I'd be weary of them and i'll wait for a better set that is slotted only, and slotted right

I am hoping PFC (Performance Friction) makes 2 piece rotors for the 370Z. The rotors I had from them for my 05 STi had no slots or drilled holes...just dimples, which helps keep strength, and still evacuates gas buildup between the rotor and pads.

I said I'd be weary of them and i am. no one here has had direct experience with the rotors, and everything i mentioned is true. There are a lot of stress points in those rotors that you don't see in any other rotors on the market. But who knows with the price they're charging for those babies they may be made out of magic space shuttle metal that that is also superman laser eye resistant.

One of the posters has used these rotors on his G35 and loved them; reported no problems if I am not mistaken. Time will tell with these, but it also appears some of the RX8 guys use them on their RX8's for track duty.

I just wanted to know if you actually heard of their products cracking in the past or if your comment was based purely off observation. Good observation, but observation would also indicate the GTR should not be as fast as it is and that the Spec V should be much faster than the standard GTR....

To your point, let's wait for real world experience on a Z (or G37) with this application.

yeah and that the nismo 370 should be way faster than the regular 370 sport
