I think the wobble he is referring to is when the rotors are a little warped. Mine are that way since I have did a full autocross season this year. I am looking at something that is street friendly but holds up way better when I throw some autocross/track time at it. I am guessing steel lines and fluid will help with the break fade (high temps = bad braking... or breaking bad lol). I am thinking a stoptech or better rotor and then pads... eh.. i keep looking at the specs. I know a lot of people buy the hawk racing pad thinking that they are going to be great for cross application.. but what i am reading is they are specifically designed for high temp track application. The Black and HPS pads from hawk are more for street/track.... I guess if your doing nothing but track then track pads are the way to go.. I think I am more street than track at this point.... I might just get a set to use for track (or get a miata to use for track).

Slotted, drilled, or J-hook rotors will however make a little more of a "pad grind" sound that you may or may not be able to hear with the windows down. This is just a function of the aggressive rotor surface wearing against the pad under braking. More so than a blank rotor. Now many aggressive street or track pads will squeal as a function of their material composition. The more aggressive they are the louder they tend to be.

Just killed stop tech rotors (1pc) in no time w/ aggressive pads....going to try DBA 2pc 5000 rotors next. I see vette guys use cryo rotors with good results...may try those if the DBA's don't hold up to the abuse.

If you're gonna upgrade something then you should UPGRADE to something truly better. Some people have said the Stillen rotors are good but they aren't the best. Same goes for Z1. Now I don't mean to diss either brand. They're both reliable and make awesome products. But if your going to upgrade your rotors I say get some 2 piece rotors. DBAs have good rep. Z1 has some 2 piece rotors that are track tested. CZP just made some 2 piece rotors. Just do your research
btw Z1 has a sweet upgrade sport package brake kit for a decent price

I don't see the point in 2 piece unless you are tracking a lot. I am happy with Z1s one piece slotted rotors and they do great at the track with PFC 08 pads (not a DD pad).
Make sure you look up the weights of the new rotors. the heavier the better. Some good info in this thread about rotors: Review: Z1 rotors and PFC

For the track you want a cheap *** blank you can toss after a hard *** weekend and not care. $275 pre outer for a two piece adds up for a big time track car.

If I was made of money I would have PFC 2 piece rotors for the track, but if I was made of money I'd probably have a porsche instead

Not that p cars don't have their share of problems or complaints by owners (center lock wheels for example), but yea I would like p cars too.
Cryo treated rotors should be an option to consider imo
