If money is an issue then sell your wheels and buy a decent set of rotors and pads. You don't want to buy some pos brake rotors and be back in the same spot in a year. Or worse be wrapped around a telephone pole because of brake failure.

You know very well maintenace cost on the Z isn't exactly cheap. $400 for rotors isn't all that expensive for slotted or cross-drilled. My suggestion is to either get the rotors turned down again for now and save up for the rotor upgrade. You'll need to replace the pads too, so take that into consideration.

The stock non-sport Nissan rotors are kind of crappy to begin with. My dad's Maxima, Murano and my sister's Altima all eventually had warped rotors. My Z had warped rotors at 9k miles, but the dealer turned them down for me. I will be upgrading to the Stillen or Stoptech rotors later this year (Maybe even upgrade to a BB kit).

Damn! Those are cheap and good looking rotors! I got mine from a different vendor and costed way more than those!

Only for 10k miles. It's a wear item like brake pads.
