Default Got my Eibach sway bars today! Pictures

Hi,
I finally received my Eibach sway bars today from Stillen.com, thanks Kenny @ Stillen. I took advantage of Black Friday sale and got them at the same price as the Stillen sway bars presale, plus free shipping.

So far everything from the box to the packaging seems well thought out and well made.

The fit and finish I must say is exceptional as sway bars go IMO, the look and feel of both sway bars is both muscular / made strong but not overly so, well thought out and designed with care for both street and track, these are quality sway bars!

I'm having them installed by my Nissan dealership around 7:45 am I’ll have breakfast at Panera’s and hit the road around the windy Pocono mountain area; I’ll give you my impressions then, we’ll see if the great looks and build quality match the performance , when the tires hit the road!”lol”

I will be setting the front bar on the 1st setting 730 pounds per square inch and the rear bar on the 2nd setting 741 pounds per square inch and see how it feels.

Thanks,
Alex

Can't wait to hear your thoughts Alex!

Did you by chance fill out and send away for your 10% manufacturer direct rebate from Eibach?

Eibach

What are the numbers on the Eibach springs from a percentage perspective? For example, is the front bar 30% stiffer than stock, rear bar 45%, etc....

Eibach sway bar set?

The Stillen numbers might have posted incorrectly. 28.6% stiffer will give 535 lbs/in. Should it be ~70+% stiffer? Someone might want to ask Stillen to confirm it.

Here is a conversion to percentage on Eibach.

OEM front : 26.5mm - 416 lbs/in
rear: 24.3mm - 374 lbs/in

Eibach
32mm OD front : 1st hole - ~176% (730 lbs/in) >>> ~76% stiffer than OE
2nd hole - ~217% (900 lbs/in) >>>>> 117 stiffer than OE

29mm OD rear : 1st hole - ~167% (625 lbs/in) >>>> 67% stiffer than OE
2nd hole - ~198% (741 lbs/in) >>>> 98% stiffer than OE
3rd hole - ~230% (860 lbs/in) >>>> 130% stiffer than OE
The install took about 1hr 1/2 pretty strait forward no fitting issues at all , what I call a drop in.
Martin the top mechanic said that the polyurethane bushing was beefier and an improvement over stock, he test drove it and could feel the difference immediately he said.

He also gave me some what I considered sound advice to think about, that I was approaching the point rapidly to were there is a very thin line between street car and track and if I added more mods the balance would tilt towards track, he said at that point it wouldn’t be as fun to drive on the streets anymore to think about it!

I drove the car around a little and it felt more precise better planted, also inspired more confidants going in and coming out of turns as the car felt as if it was moving as a whole in the turns! I like the feel very much; Eibach did their homework that’s for sure!

Thanks Martin & Greg from Nissan great job!

These are some photos of the install:

Very nice! I just ordered mine today.

So you used the first hole in the front and the middle hole in the back?

Yup,
I think the Eibach Sway Bars are one of the best overall sway bars out there for guys like me that use their cars for DD and occasional spirited driving but don’t want to rule out hitting the track on occasion for fun!

I just went along with ZERO’s settings on my stock AT with 18" rims, these settings so far feel just about perfect!

Thanks ZERO for taking the lead on the Eibach sway for us!

You’re going too really like them, it changed the feel and driving experience so much on my car, I feel these type of sway bars are a must have and should have been standard on the 370Z from factory! "lol"

Anyways enjoy your new Eibach sway’s!

Alex

It should work fine without any problem. Both front and rear use the same OEM mounting points.

Lou will probably get you a good price.

I wanted to comment on the polyurethane bushing. The Eibach polyurethane bushings design won't give you any issue comparing to some. They won't slip or slide off the brackets.

Thanks. I'm excited. I have a stack of parts going on the car whenever the sways come in.

I forgot to mention, I have also noticed that on some real wicket mountain roads, going into hairpin turns my VDC would flash on the dash , I have not seen the VDC come on driving the same roads since the sways bars were installed?

Let us know how the install went!

Good luck,

Alex
