which rotors to upgrade, J hook or slotted?

The front two piece rotors from Racing Brake are quiet but I can't say the same thing about the Hawks HP + pads. Around the city in light braking situations, they squeak like a mother*ucker. Not sure what I'm going to do about this yet.

Do you have the HPS or the HP+? There is no such pad as a HPS+.

The HPS pads are quiet, the HP PLUS are not.

Try rebedding your pads, should quiet it down for a little bit.

thanks for the replies everybody have ordered the J-hook rotors and SS lines, since snow is about to start falling here, I will have to wait a few months before I can review them, but already looking forward to doing the install.
