Motul RBF 600 Brake Fluid, all the time?

I'm going to flush the brake lines and put in some 'good stuff' for the upcoming trackday season. Obviously Motul RBF600 is well loved on the forums as is ATE Super Blue.

Do you guys run these fluids all the time in cars that are usually daily drivers? Any downside to running these fluids under DD conditions (fewer corrosion inhibitors, don't play nice with ABS, etc??)

I run the RB600 all the time. No downsides that I can see.

it will work fine

brake fluid should be flushed once a year, even if the car is purely street driven

No downsides except that race brake fluid absorbs moisture faster so you shouldn't use it for extended periods of time. You gotta change it every few months, specially if you track the car. (if you track a lot, then a lot sooner than that)

Only better (ie higher boiling point but one must change it more often. I would not suggest any DOT 5 brake fluid

unless it's dot5.1 which is still a glycol fluid you could run that but with the nice dot 4's it's not worth it. Regular old dot 5 is silicone base and thats a no-no

Speed Bleeder Bleeding Brakes Bleeding Motorcycle Brakes Automotive Bleeder Screw Brake Bleeder
1/4 turn and they act as 1-way valves... then when you're done, just a 1/4 turn back and they are sealed... makes 1-man bleeding a cinch and easier imo than other systems

I've seen those fail quite often, and if you are inside the car pumping the brake, how are you going to know when the bubbles are gone? I motive bleeder is much much easier.

Really? I've never heard of them failing except for when they are not used properly... only takes 5 or so pound-INCHES of force to close the valve and if you over tighten then you're in for it... so long as you're careful about that, IMO shouldn't have problem... in the past I would alternate blue/gold ATE and bleed through the entire color so no need to watch for bubbles... I haven't used the motive setup personally but I know it only took a few minutes to bleed with the speed bleeders, so not sure how motive could be 'easier'

Power bleeder is about the only thing that could be easier. Installed my speed bleeders yesterday and swapped my Blue back to Gold. I don't see how they could completely fail either, they act like a normal bleeder when closed, the check valve only comes into play when opened.

I don't use race brake fluid in my DD cars, it can't hold as much moisture in suspension which is why it needs to be bleed more often. Just use a good quality DOT 4 and the fluid will be good for 1-2 years.

How often do you change your brake fluid? I'm going to switch to the same, but it's only for street use, not going to the track.
