Best coilover brands for street use?

All of you recommending KWs I think are missing his predicament. If he could afford 2k, sure that would be great, but if he is looking at springs only, I'm sure $$ is an issue - so he really needs advice on affordable coilovers. There are roughly 5 brands in the 1k range, and I am presuming this price range would work for him. If $$ is not the case, then I stand corrected.

Thanks for looking out but I originally posted for a good street coilover system because I don't track my car. Springs are really cheap but I would rather spend $2,300 if it's going to ride properly and last a long time.

I guess there's really no other option than to buy a pair in the $2k range.

Is there a clear cut winner between...

HKS and KW?

HKS and KW?

For full street use, the KW Variant 3's are the way to go. They are less expensive, and more compliant for street use. They make noises at all, and you will love them for daily driving and spirited mountain runs.

It's not about who has "pricier coilovers".

From what I've gathered in the limited research I've done...

1. 1K coilovers have QC issues.
2. Buying just springs results in a jittery ride and increased wear on OEM shocks/struts.

Is this incorrect?

I'm by no means rich but if it comes down spending 1k for something I will regret or replace in a year and spending 2k for something backed by a good warranty and will last at least three years is there really a debate?

I always had great luck with penke's. I'm not sure if the have a suspension spec fror the 370Z. Any infor?

Penske doesn't make anything in this range for the 370Z.

KW's are less than 2K but more than 1K. I know opinions may vary, but I would rather take my chances with springs, rather then the 1K coilovers over the market.

Maybe look into the Stance GR+ coilovers.... You can get those for around 1100 from some vendors here.

yes, i have had them on my car since august, last year

they are horrible for street use IMO.

I am switching to KW V3's next month.

Agreed, for 95% street use, and the person that does 1-2 track events a year. If you can live with a little firmer ride (but not harsh), and you plan on doing more track work with the car, I would suggest the TEIN Flex or TEIN Monoflex.
