If you are spending all this money on an Akebono brake kit it’s highly recommend you install the upgraded stainless steel brake lines and don’t cheap out you will thank yourself later on. Upgraded stainless steel brake lines will improve the brake petal feel of your Z and overall improve braking performance as well compared to the soft stock brake lines. I found also it will help prevent worn or even frayed brake lines from rubbing against frame rails and your suspension components. Great time to upgrade your brake fluid to Motul RBF 600 or 660 performance brake fluid. Consider the Z1 master cylinder brace too it will aid in improving your brake feel a lot. The soft stock brake lines have been known to leak.
