can I use regular brake line when upgrading to akebono

I thought you could buy the banjo bolt for the akebono calipers separately? Wonder if it works with the base lines. Although the Z1 non-premium SS lines are the way to go.

When I was upgrading the Z1 lines came with the banjos. I think Z1 probably does offer the banjos separately too. John at Z1 said that the banjo for the base caliper was too long and isn’t the same thread type.

I looked into OEM banjos for the sport caliper but they don’t exist. My local dealership said I would have to purchase the brake lines. There is a hardline that threads into the sport caliper they said.

The sport and base brake lines have different fittings.
