Cut OE Springs

How about every aftermarket spring I've seen opinions of are stiffer than OE and they tend to lower the car more than I'd like? Seems like you have a general

Seems like you have a general misunderstanding on why lowering springs are stiffer.

the op says he wants to do it because every spring on the market goes too low for his taste...

The nismo kit is still easily available. It offers minimal lowering and rate increase and comes with dampers for under 1k.


Nothing seems to make people on the internet angry like a good old fashioned spring cutting thread. Mad props, op.

SPL carries Swift springs. If you are not using a true coil overs in the rear. You have to use the SPL arm for springs.

You can actually get adapters to be able to run the common 2.5 or 2.25" ID springs with the factory arms. As I went the SPL route I don't know much about them other than that they do exist.

I just used that as an example. There is others out there. But SPL came to mind. I'm in Vegas using my phone. So my research is limited.

If you heat and bend then ends it would affect the heat treatment.
