Default Sport Brake Pad Shims

I bought a set of akebono calipers from eBay. They are in good shape for the most part, except the shims on the rear pads are missing. The only place I can find that even carries a kit with the shims is z1, and the kit is $120.00. is there a cheaper source for these? I can't bring myself to pay that for a few stamped pieces of steel. Does anyone have another source for these

I was going to ask about leaving them off...
I've done replacements before and always used the shims. How bad does the rattle typically get if I leave them off?

I left mine off after the first pad change and don't notice it.

Then again, I am deaf (according to my wife at least).

I have recently replaced the pads (sport) on the g37s, and the pads have built-in shims. they worked well so far without any noise.

Run it without the shims and don't give it a second thought. The only shims I ever use on my Z are 1mm Ti. heat shields in the front.

I always ruin with the shims. Brake noise is unbearable. Noisy race pads are one thing, stupid squeaky rattily brakes get on my nerves.

I've never gotten brake noise as a result of not running shims; only as a result of pad material. Tested many times.
