Racing Brake makes a 2-piece rotor as well. Not cheap, but very high quality.

what rotors and pads (sport brakes) are good value for purely commuting purposes. So anything that's as good as oem's would do. Thx.

I've been running the Racing Brake rotors for a couple of years now. No issues with them. Have about 20 trackdays and who knows how many street miles.

I run Z1 two piece rotors and so far they worn very well. The unsung weight is very noticeable up front. It makes for better turn it as effort is decreased. I don't think rears are as big a deal but unsprung weight is a good thing. It cracks me up that some will spend thousands on light weight wheels but just as well off buying light weight rotors. I did both and it has a big impact on handling, braking and acceleration. Just my two cents!

I have the Z1 2-piece all around and love them. The rotational mass weight reduction is very noticeable.

Ive steuggled with the whole brake rotor deal as well.

Been thinking about Z1 two piece. Do they really hold up to severe use without warping?

I have warped the crap out of the OEM rotors, and already turned them twice in 15k miles.

My ex with Z1 two piece rotors have been the same as Rusty with the DBAs.

That might be due to user error. If you get them hot, don't stand at a traffic light with the brakes pressed to hold you. That will create pad deposits and can warp the rotors.

I’m going to with z1 of stop tech rotors and get them cryo-treated. If they fail then I’ll save up for a big brake kit.
