Z1 did get back to me with the same explanation as mentioned earlier... Variation in Nissan production. They said they've only had a handful of reports of fitment issues, but the engineers may revisit the design shortly to improve it further.
In the meantime, they said that just using the outer two bolts is acceptable without risk of failure. This is how I'll leave it too. Sent from my VS986 using Tapatalk
