Brake fluid leak from caliper

I had this happen at Shenandoah. If the bleeder screw was overtightened, is that essentially gouging/damaging the aluminum caliper and therefore, you cannot simply replace the bleeder screw, but to

If the bleeder screw was overtightened, is that essentially gouging/damaging the aluminum caliper and therefore, you cannot simply replace the bleeder screw, but to replace the whole caliper?
