Why can't anyone design something clean and decent???? This new kit is ridiculously stupid!

Amuse it the only kit that looks good. But Amuse kit is a fiberglass, and that makes it a junk. Only Stillen makes polyurethane bumpers from what I know, everybody else got lazy and cheap but still charges TONS of $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$. I hate fiberglass products.

Need more photos... front doesn't look too bad. But that is a horrible shot to try and show the rear bumper off. You cant even see most of it.

Yikes. The front end looks like a truck grill designed by a 13 year old during a break from drawing space ships and female super heros.

Agreed. Needs to be toned down. Amuse is the only kit that catches my eye as well.

Hey guys! Happy Hump Day!!

We hope all of you are having a great week so far.

Here's a few more photos of the new Rowen kit for the Z. Some love it, some hate it. Either way, it's totally crazy .

This is the final rendition of the production kit on a track car.

Unfortunately no... but if you buy a kit from me I can make one out of cardboard and send it to you though... will that work?

Ask and you shall receive. More photos posted above. Sorry, the initial photos were of the first mock up so they didn't provide very good photos. The new photos should show you more detail.

There are various companies out there that make excellent kits. Amuse, Fujimura, Varis, etc. I guess in the end the style all depends on each persons taste. While one thing looks good to one person, it may not look very good to another.

The Amuse kit is actually is a very good quality kit. They spent thousands of man hours for R&D and development and their end product speaks for itself. They created a kit that produces enough air flow and downforce to produce some the best lap times in Japan.

Just because a kit is made of FRP, doesn't automatically define it as junk. Most aftermarket companies use FRP for a reason. Even some of the really high end companies such as Wald, Skipper, Artisan Spirits, AIMGAIN, Etc. all use FRP to make aero parts. FRP is Fiber Reinforced Plastic so it's not straight fiberglass. It's a little stronger and a bit more pliable. Cheap fiberglass on the other hand is a different story. Those will shatter at the drop of a pin.

Polyurethane does have its advantages and disadvantages as well. It's a more resilient and pliable material but the production and material costs can be a bit more and the manufacturing time can also take longer than working with FRP. When you're already waiting 4-5 months for JDM parts, I'm guessing customers don't want to wait much more than that just to have polyurethane when FRP works just as well.

Keep in mind, all of the authentic JDM items are handmade by master craftsman. They're not stamped out of a machine so the attention to detail can be much greater depending on the manufacturer.

In the end, the JDM and Euro vendors weigh out all of the pros and cons before making a decision. If most everybody is using FRP and almost nobody is using polyurethane, that does say something. Most of these vendors have been making aero parts for decades so I'm sure they have gone over all of their options and chose what works best for their customers.

I'd say the majority of guys running aero kits are using some sort of FRP options and are completely happy with what they have. It all depends on the end user.

I can appreciate your thoughts against FRP though. I just want to make sure people understand that just because something is made of FRP doesn't automatically mean it's junk
