What do you mean by "work similarly"? I understand that both will protect, but will I be changing out the aluminum one sooner then SS one?

By "work similarly" I mean they will both protect your bumper from scraping. I don't see why alumalite would need to be changed out ever for the average scraping on driveways, etc.
