ZSpeed Performance Aluminum Engine Undershrouds New Vendor Special!

Any chance of changing the oil filter access door to the other side for those with oil relocation kits? I would buy one in second, if that option was available

Thumbs up DIY ZSpeed Aluminium Undertray Install

Just Installed mine today! Install was super easy.

Tools Required:
10mm Socket for OEM bolt removal
5/32nds Hex Bit for ZSpeed Bolts
Flathead screwdriver for pop rivets

Onto the pics!

Here's my plastic undertray, it's been in need of dire replacement for some time.

ZSpeed Aluminum Undertray

To install, simply remove your plastic undertray with all 16 bolts and 3 pop clips. I ordered my Undertray with the additional stainless steel bolts and they look great. There will be 16 bolts, 16 washers, and 12 receiver clips for the bolts to replace the OEM ones. Seen here:

Old Clip

New Clip

You will be removing and replacing the clips for all of these places on the original undertray.

And make sure you replace all 16 Bolts and 3 Pop Rivets when you're done.

Thanks to AK370Z for those 2 pics.

Make sure to keep the piles of clips separated so you don't re-use an old one. They will also be different colors so that can help differentiate as well.

Side Bolts Installed

Front Bolts Installed

I went ahead and put the 3 plastic pop rivets back in to prevent the panel from rattling against the crossbar. They pop right back in.

And of course, the amazing trap door...

With the door removed, you can see you have plenty of clearance to get to the oil drain plug, and potentially the filter. I have a sandwich plate installed with my oil cooler, I'm not worried about draining, only about getting my arm articulated up in there to get the filter loose and removed. I'll post an update when I do my next oil change.

Looks Great, If I do say so myself

A few notes, You can re-use the old hardware if its in good shape, All the bolt threads are OEM size. We include the new J-Nuts in case the stock ones have rusted and are stuck or broken.

Only the Stainless hardware kit requires the 5/32" hex bit, Standard hardware we offer that comes with the shields unless you upgrade to the Stainless is 10mm head like the stock stuff.

Thanks for taking time to do this, I'm sure it will be a help to others!

Thanks for the super quick shipping and a good sturdy product. I just wish it wasn't up under the car where it can't be seen.

I'm curious on the durability of the black powder coat. I'm wondering how well it handles getting peppered by normal road dust and dirt. My thinking is, if the black one is going to get marked up I may as well start with the silver one.
